Our Mission

Many Christians these days identify closely with worldly heroes and organizations. At DailyCristo, we remember the apostle Paul’s dismay at such allegiances. Jesus ignored labels, theological and political, so we founded DailyCristo to be a place where “liberal” or “conservative” won’t direct our thinking anymore. Our goal is to expand those kinds of boundaries, challenge those kinds of preconceptions, and redirect our thoughts toward God’s kingdom here on earth.

At times it will be difficult to point to our content and call it “Christian.” We believe this is as it should be. Jesus did did demand acceptance strictly on his terms, and we will reflect that with fidelity to his teachings as we understand them, but there was also a sense of openness in the way Jesus lived, a willingness to receive people and explore ideas from every part of life. That balance is far too rare in our highly polarized world today. We hope to provide a model of it here at DailyCristo.

Why Sideways?

Our unique horizontal format makes it easy to access the information you want on DailyCristo’s home page. Rearrange our website to suit yourself by putting the content you most enjoy on the left end of the row of departments. That way you can scroll to it more quickly the next time you visit. Just click on the “move left” or “move right” arrows under each department until you have the content arranged as you prefer.

To Become a Christian

DailyCristo offers a wealth of information and insights for thinking Christians, but it’s not our mission to convert anyone to Christianity. For a vitally important and deeply personal decision like that, we recommend a visit to Jesus2020, where it’s possible to correspond directly with a knowledgeable Christian who can help.
