Ride the Do Good Bus

Do Good BusPractice random acts of kindness planned in advance. You do the random. The Do Good Bus handles the planning.

They give you a ride to someplace where good needs doing, and they feed you along the way, but they won’t tell you where you’re going or what you’re going to do until you get there.

According to their website: ”We keep our rides a secret to add an element of fun, but also to avoid any pre-conceived ideas or opinions about the cause our volunteers will be helping. This allows volunteers to show up with an open mind ready to help. . . . Just get on the bus and we do the rest. Each trip is different and the locations are a secret. You never know where you’ll end up and what you might end up doing. You will be wined and dined while on the bus and learn about causes in your neighborhood. If you have always wanted to get involved, volunteer or help others but didn’t know how, hop on the Do Good Bus!”

Past activities have included cleaning an orphanage, feeding the homeless, and planting a garden.

We love this idea. And while it’s based in Los Angeles, it could be done anywhere. Does your church own a bus? Could you rent one for a day? Do you know a charity that needs a hand? Looking for a fantastic way to celebrate your birthday? Is the staff at work in need of some bonding?

Why not round up everyone and take them for a “Do Good” bus ride in your area?
